The 11th Annual Komen NC Foothills Race for the Cure® was a great success. We had a record number of participants. The number of estimated registered partcipants was over 2,400 and the event raised over $160,000. The weather was a bit cool, but spirits were high. The CURE leaders and the music from BIG DAWG kept the participants entertained and revved up.

The Komen Race also had a record number of timed runners - 482. The Overall Breast Cancer Survivor Winner was Melissa Harris. The Survivor Master Winner was Deb Bowman and Frieda Doris Coke was the Survivor Senior Winner. The three top male winners were Josh Houser, Joshua Newborn and Raul Polma. Overall female top three were Charlotte Walsh, Charlotte Hartman and Michele Hoheiser. Over Male Master Winners were Robert Longstreet, Grady Shue, and Pat F. Brooks. The Race's Grand Marshal was Miss North Carolina Teen USA 2010, Lauren Ashley Martz. A breast cancer survivor from each county was selected to be our honorary race chairs. They were:
