2013 Honorary Race Chair Nomination

The NC Foothills Race for the Cure planning committee is now accepting nominations for Honorary Race Chairs. An honorary chair will be selected from each county – Burke, Caldwell, and Catawba – represented by the Affiliate. The chairs will be honored on race day – Saturday, October 26, 2013 – leading the survivors’ parade and being introduced during the day’s activities.

The nominee should be a breast cancer survivor who has made a difference in his or her community.  Nomination forms are available by clicking here.  Please submit by June 13, 2013.

The 14th Annual Komen NC Foothills Race for the Cure will be on Saturday, October 26 at 9:00 a.m. at Lenoir Rhyne University.  With 2,839 participants, the 2012 Komen Race for the Cure raised $181,757.60.  Up to 75% of the funds raised remain in Burke, Caldwell, and Catawba counties for breast cancer education, screening, and treatment.  A minimum of 25% of the money goes to the Susan G.
