Amount Funded: $45,000
This project will continue to provide funding for screening or diagnostic testing, surgical or medication treatment of women with newly discovered breast abnormalities who are receiving care at Catawba County Public Health (CCPH) Women’s Health clinics. Grant monies will be available to any women who are 250% of the federal poverty level or below, and, upon examination, need further evaluation of an abnormal breast finding. Funding is needed to insure Women’s Health patients are able to obtain the necessary follow-up to these abnormalities, especially now with the increase in under and uninsured patients.
